15th Annual Arc 5k and Fun Run!

The 15th annual Williamsburg Landing 5k Run/Walk for The Arc was held on Saturday, October 5th under gorgeous, sunny skies!  It was our most successful 5k to date, and we are thankful to everyone who supported it, especially our presenting sponsor, Chesapeake Bank, Chesapeake Payment Systems, and Chesapeake Wealth Management; and our host sponsor, Williamsburg Landing.  We had incredible business and community sponsors, and generous support from families and friends, too.  Thank you one and all!  Hope to see you again next year on October 4, 2025!

So much fun walking, running, dancing, enjoying pizza, and most of all, being with friends!

Michelle, Alexis, Kevin, and Liz caught up with former Parks & Rec intern, Karryna!  Even though she works in Richmond now, Karryna remains a huge fan of The Arc, and we love her, too!  Thanks for coming, Karryna!

Moose Shelly and Little Moose Abby represented Williamsburg Women of the Moose (WOTM), and they brought other teammates, too.  Moose Patti couldn't make it this year, and she was missed.  Thanks, Shelly, Abby, and our WOTM friends for your enduring support of The Arc of GW!

Our beloved therapy dog friend, Caroline, came with Pip!  She also brought a team from her church, Williamsburg United Methodist.  Thanks so much, Caroline and Pip!  We are grateful for your support!

This is Lexi's workout coach, Jenny, who also created a team to show support for us!  She's walking with Lexi's workout buddy, and our Arc friend, Jason.  Thanks for being here, Jenny and team!!

HUGE SHOUT OUTS to Kellie, Pam, Caroline, and Sue for their outstanding and tireless work on behalf of organizing this remarkable FUNdraiser.  We are also very appreciative of The Arc's stellar board members, who contributed their talents to the cause as well.  Pam said we raised a record amount this year!  Many thanks to John and Lorraine Perkins, who many of our readers know.  Unfortunately, we didn't get a photo of them, but they were instrumental in securing many, many sponsorships, and we are grateful for their dedication to The Arc of GW and the 5k year in and year out!

Everyone earned a medal for their great running and walking today!  The practice we put in over the recent weeks paid off.  So proud of ALL of our guys!
