Fun, Fabulous 5K!

The Arc of Greater Williamsburg's Executive Director, Pam McGregor, is joined by Williamsburg Landing's Vernon Baker, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Britnee Cason, Director of Wellness; and Greg Storer, President and CEO.

The Arc of Greater Williamsburg celebrated its 10th annual Williamsburg Landing 5K for The Arc on Saturday, October 5th.  It was a beautiful day and we had a record turnout!  We are thankful for our partnership with Williamsburg Landing and their continued support of The Arc of GW!  There were many other sponsors as well, and we are also thankful for their support!

So many of our Arc of Abilities families were in attendance that we have lots of photos to share!  Thank you to ALL of you, and to the ones who couldn't make it but still supported us with donations!  We met our goal of raising $60,000!  Fundraising is an ongoing challenge, but events like the 5K make it fun!  Enjoy the photos and SAVE THE DATE for next year:  October 3, 2020!

Liz was all smiles with brother Stephen and parents, Greg and Lise.

Sam posed proudly with parents, Tim and Teri.
Later, Pam would present Tim with a medal for 2nd overall in the 5K...he was only outraced by a 14 year old!  We're not saying that Tim is old...but he does have a few years on the 14 year old, plus, he had already run the 1 mile with Sam!  Yay, Tim!

Kevin was out bright and early on a Saturday with dad, Wayne, and mom, Debbie.

Alexis and Lisa were happy to be joined by family and friends, Kelly, Geoff, Mary, Haley, and Becky.

Drew, mom, Donna, and friend, Melinda, were ready to race!
Drew and his dad, Arc of GW Board President, Andy, were happy to see lots of supporters!
Laura brought future brother-in-law, Andrew, sister, Erin, and her parents, Tom and Lisa.

Devin posed with Alexis and his brother, Christian, who was in town from Northeastern College, in Boston.
Annmarie's mom and her granddaughter arrived early to help set up the tent for the Williamsburg Area Association of Realtors.

Later, we caught up with Annmarie and her dad, Andy, along with her niece and nephew.
Cameron was joined by his parents, Brian and Stacey, and sister and brother-in-law, Meaghan and Drew, along with their dog, Porter.
Kate and her dad, Mark, were there, and he was rocking his Arc colors!

Kacie and her mom, Stacey, were there, but we didn't get a picture of them together.  Here's Kacie with a W&M friend and one of our AoA volunteers, Becky.

Kacie's mom ran the 5K and is seen here on the left, in the purple shirt!

Just like family, Patti and our Moose friends came to support us!

Carol was there, too! She, Becky, and Lisa loved seeing the AoA families enjoying a fun time together.
Here's Bette Faye and Sandy from The Arc, along with Arc client Jason and Bette Faye's great-niece, Anaya.
We were so excited to see our old friend (and custodian at AFCC), Soup!  He's at another school now, but still supports his Arc friends.

What a great day it was!  Once again, The Arc of Greater Williamsburg and The Arc of Abilities day support program are grateful for the support of so many in our community!  We hope to see you all again next year!
