It may have been chilly and rainy outside, but it was warm and bright inside on Friday as everyone enjoyed time with our special guests and some special activities! We send a HUGE thank you to Sue Grimes for being there all day and filling in for Lisa. Word is that her sloppy joes were the best! It's always nice to be treated at lunch time!
We are also thankful to Sandy from The Arc for spending Friday morning with us and teaching the gang about drumming. You can tell from these photos that the drum circle was a lot of fun. Sandy also shared a lesson on friendship and kindness by reading Have You Filled a Bucket Today? and discussing the importance of complimenting others and validating their worth. A highlight of that lesson was having each friend sit in the circle and receive kind words from the others! Everyone also made a bucket as a visual reminder to always be a bucket "filler" when interacting with others.
